Hello and Welcome!!
Here is a little bit about me. I am originally from Heron Lake, Minnesota where I was raised on a farm with my parents and 3 sisters. During my childhood, and having no brothers, we were taught work ethic second to none. We were also strongly encouraged to give back to our community as much as we were able.
During my pre-teen and teen years, I was very involved in 4-H, from being a camp counselor, hosting foreign exchange students from Japan, hosting haunted houses, hay rides, playing softball as well as holding several club office positions, and being the Cottonwood County 4-H President my Senior Year of high school. I was also involved in FFA through school and attended the State Convention all 4 years of high school.
After high school, I moved to Alexandria to attend the Alexandria Tech College for Medical Secretary; and worked in the Medical Field for about 22 years; primarily submitting insurance claims, collections, office management positions, etc. In 2009, my husband and I bought the business he had worked at for 14 years prior, and about a year after that we started another company at which time I moved into the Human Resources and booking position for both businesses. Of course, being self-employed you learn all the positions from shipping/receiving/delivery, front counter sales, housekeeping, but most importantly customer service and relationship building.
I have excellent time management, communication & negotiating skills; as well being a “top notch” multi-tasker, willing to put in the extra hour and go the extra mile while selling your home and during the purchase of your next home!
However, during all these years, my true interest was in Real Estate, always grabbing the most recent Real Estate Guide, and eventually spending a lot of time on the internet looking at houses, following the market, etc. When we made the move from an acreage to the lake, that re-fueled my interest of “getting my real estate license”… to the point of no return. So that’s what I did; and I am loving it!! I love meeting new people, learning their want/need list, and then the fun begins of searching. Of course, in this day and age, most people come with their list in hand, and/or send daily emails or texts of the newest house on the market they want to see. It’s great seeing people’s eyes light up and just know, “this is the house!!” and off we go to write up the Purchase Agreement.
When I have some down time, I enjoy a good book, spending time with my 2 adult daughters, boating & kayaking, going to garage sales, working out, gardening, and travel.
If you are in the market of buying and/or selling; I would love the opportunity to work with you. Feel free to call or email me any time. I look forward to meeting with and working with you!
